The Hahn Teaching with Technology program, supported by the Hahn Fund for Innovation seeks projects involving technology and teaching.
Hahn Grant Historical Background
A Generous Gift
In 1990 Franklin and Margaret Hahn provided Pomona College with a generous monetary gift. With these funds, the Hahn Building was completed in 1997. In the 2000s, ITS and the Dean’s Office used the remaining funds to establish the Teaching with Technology grant program.
In the official acknowledgment letter to the Hahns, then Vice President of Development at Pomona College, Ted Gibbens, wrote the following:
Our excitement has increased daily as we realize what can be accomplished as a result of this magnificent gift. Blessings on you both for your generosity and for the good things your gift will bring to the faculty and students of Pomona College.
Ted Gibbens
This excitement continues today as the Hahn gift supports new innovative teaching projects each year.
