Request an account

Faculty and staff: submit a Service Desk request. Students: ask a faculty sponsor, or email us and we’ll help you connect.

Enroll in Duo

Sagehen uses your Pomona credentials plus Duo two-factor authentication.

Log in

Easiest: open the OnDemand portal in your browser. Or from a terminal: ssh you@sagehen.hpc.pomona.edu

Choose how you work

No HPC experience required. Start wherever you’re comfortable.

In your browser

The OnDemand portal gives you files, a terminal, and interactive apps with a graphical interface. Nothing to install.

BEST FIRST STOP

Batch jobs

Write a short job script, hand it to the SLURM scheduler, and get an email when it’s done. Jobs can run up to 30 days.

FOR BIG COMPUTATIONS

Notebooks & RStudio

JupyterHub for Python, RStudio for R. The environments you already know, backed by cluster power and storage.

FAMILIAR TOOLS

Learn the ropes with us

Hands-on workshops from the Unix shell to GPU computing, taught by the Research Computing team. We’ll run any of them for your lab or class.
