Slack is a unified chat tool for communicating with teams.
Teaching with Slack
Slack streamlines communication, making it a beneficial tool for courses, clubs, and workplaces. It allows users to create multiple channels within workspaces, which is ideal for organizing group communications; its direct message feature enables users to connect one on one. For courses, Slack allows faculty to connect with all students individually or all at once, and students are able to enjoy a class community outside of the physical classroom. With the ability to add emojis, gifs, links, images, and more, consider using it for class reminders or as a fun, informal way to stay in touch with students and promote connection.
